Szóló works with the principles of biodynamic farming both in the vineyards and in the cellar. The winery makes energetic and complex white wines using amphoras, Hungarian oak barrels and inox from classic Tokaj varieties (Furmint, Hárslevelű, Sárgamuskotály) in Tállya, Hungary.
KOLÓNIA 52

A fresh face in the natural wine scene, Kolonia 52 is based in the Balaton Uplands of Hungary in the hills of Szent György-hegy. They work organically in all vineyards and mainly cultivate Furmint, Kékfrankos, and Pinot Noir as well as an array of other local varieties grown on volcanic soil. We love their refreshing, playful but complex wines for any occasion.

“I had to write an essay in 10th grade titled: “What Would I Be If I Could Choose?” My answer was that I would love to be a grape to give my life to create good wine.”
After getting BSc in Horticultural Engineering and Master's in Agriculture, Annamaria moved back to Barabas, North Hungary to cultivate grapes and make her own wines. She works with certified organic viticulture (and mostly with 40- 60-years old Királyleányka, Rhine Riesling, Furmint and Hárslevelű vines) that follows regenerative farming practices. Reka Koncz wines are fresh & fun ranging from easy bubbles to bright reds!
